Alcolizer Technology recommends the following regarding the cleaning of the Druglizer LE5 Drug Tester instrument.

Follow the cleaning instructions found in the Alcolizer Technology User Manuals and in addition:

  • The use of non-alcohol-based cleaning agents is the preferred approach for the reliability of instruments. It is possible to use alcohol-based wipes and cleaning agents, but care must be taken to avoid influencing the performance of the instrument.
  • Operators should use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when conducting a test or cleaning the instrument – gloves, mask, protective eyewear or full-face mask based on the situation.
  • The Druglizer LE5 Drug Tester instrument is designed so the operator can be at arms-length from the donor to minimise any unnecessary contact with the donor.
  • Operators should assess donors prior to testing and exclude those exhibiting symptoms or sneezing/coughing. These donors should be following your local isolation requirements
  • Operators should follow the operation instructions found in the instrument user manual and included on the pack insert provided with the instrument.
  • The cleaning instructions as outlined in the instrument user manual should be followed after each test.
  • Ensure that the green protective plug remains in the instrument throughout the cleaning process. DO NOT clean inside the cartridge entry cavity of the device. This will result in void of the warranty and may influence the performance of the instrument.
