Many users of Breath Alcohol Testing Devices have heard a new Australian Standards AS3547 certification has been introduced and are interested in how Alcolizer Technology is supporting and implementing this change.

This document is designed to help users clarify how to access the latest hand-held devices from Alcolizer and what support is available for previous versions and models.
Alcolizer LE5, HH4 and HH3
The Alcolizer LE5, Alcolizer HH4 and Alcolizer HH3 Alcohol Testers are certified to the Australian Standard AS3547:2019. We guarantee Alcolizer LE5, Alcolizer HH4 or Alcolizer HH3 devices purchased after the 3rd August 2020 are certified to the NEW Australian Standard AS3547:2019.
Alcolizer LE5, HH4 and HH3 purchased prior to the 3rd August 2020, can achieve certification to the Australian Standard AS3547:2019, by upgrading or trading-in for a new device (subject to age/model of original device). Please contact your local Alcolizer sales representative to discuss trade-in and upgrade options.
As an ongoing commitment to our loyal customers Alcolizer Technology will continue to provide Calibration services and Certificates for all previously sold Alcolizer HH3, HH4 and LE5 devices even if you choose not to upgrade to the latest Australian Standard.
Alcolizer HH1 and HH2
Alcolizer has been making breath testing devices for many years now and Alcolizer HH1 and HH2 devices, although still robust, are nearing end of life. New parts are no longer manufactured or readily available and many of these devices are over 10 years old. The Alcolizer HH1 and Alcolizer HH2 devices will not be able to meet the requirements of AS3547:2019 and the unit of measure is unable to be changed to grams/210L of breath.
Alcolizer HH1 and HH2 devices will no longer be accepted for calibration and service as of 1st January 2021.

Alcolizer LE3 and LE4 Series
These devices, although still robust, are nearing end of life and new parts are no longer manufactured. The last new device of these models rolled off the production line more than seven years ago.
Alcolizer Technology will continue to service Alcolizer LE3, LE4 and Wall Mount 3 devices under the companies ISO9001:2015 certification and the manufacturing recommendations applicable when the product was purchased. These recommendations are as per Licence No: SMK02334 issued by SAI Global.
The Alcolizer LE3 and LE4 series devices will not be able to meet the requirements of AS3547:2019. Alcolizer Technology will cease to service Wall Mount 3 devices when the Australian Standard AS3547:1997 becomes obsolete on 30th June 2022.

Alcolizer Easy Check
The Alcolizer Easy Check product range is being sold under Licence No: SMK02334 and will be serviceable into the future under the Alcolizer ISO9001:2015 certification and the manufacturing recommendations applicable when you purchased the product. The Australian Standard AS3547:2019 excluded Personal Breath Test devices from the scope of this updated Standard so currently AS3547:1997 applies to such devices. Alcolizer Technology is awaiting a decision from Standards Australia regarding Personal Breath Test devices and will advise customer as soon as information comes to hand.
Alcolizer Technology will continue to provide Calibration services and Certificate for all devices we sell and service.
