HLTPAT005 Refresher

We’re excited to announce the launch of our refresher training for the nationally recognised HLTPAT005 (Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing) to ensure you maintain competency and stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards. Upon successful completion, a fresh Statement of Attainment and certification card will be issued.

The course integrates the latest assessment materials aligned with current industry standards and practical field experiences. Participants benefit from realistic scenarios and updated practices, ensuring they are not only knowledgeable but also adept at applying their skills in real-world environments. Registrations are conveniently available online, and participants are required to submit a copy of their initial Statement of Attainment upon registration. It is important to note that this course does not offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer.

The curriculum equips students with the skills needed to correctly perform onsite Drug and Alcohol testing, as well as the proper procedures for preparing and packaging specimens for laboratory analysis with a 60-day window to complete the course. Comprising five hours of online theory and training, two hours of written assessment, and two hours of practical training & assessment through a Teams meetings with an Assessor, this comprehensive course delivers the essential skills and knowledge required for professionals in workplaces, collection centres, hospitals, and healthcare settings.

Upon successful completion of all components, students are awarded a Nationally recognised, Statement of Attainment. Committed to a positive learning experience and successful outcomes, we encourage students facing challenges to reach out to their trainer initially. Should additional support be necessary, the situation is escalated to the National RTO Manager for a tailored support strategy.
