Gary founded Alcolizer Technology in 1988, developing Australia's first standards-compliant wall mounted breathalyser amid new drink-driving laws.
Gary plays a crucial role in setting the strategic vision of the company, ensuring Alcolizer Technology remains at the forefront of innovation in the industry.
In consultation with his Executive Team, Gary ensures the company continues to provide exemplary service and products that meet Australian Standards and provide solutions for improving health and safety.
Nigel Burr
Nigel leads the company's mission to deliver innovative drug and alcohol testing solutions that enhance safety and efficiencies. As CEO (previously serving as Sales and International Manager), Nigel has played a crucial role in transforming Alcolizer Technology into today's market leader.
With extensive leadership and sales experience, as well as manufacturing and supply chain, Nigel focuses on customer engagement, innovation and building high-performing teams to maintain position as a trusted industry leader. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Chemical and Materials, along with postgraduate qualifications in Marketing and Packaging Technology.
Shannon Bell
Shannon is a Chartered Accountant with significant financial leadership experience and oversees the GJ Johnson Group of Companies.
As Company Secretary and part of the board of Alcolizer Technology his expert technical skills in financial accounting, reporting, audit, budgeting, tax, economic evaluation and implementation align with the strategic direction of Alcolizer Technology.
Shannon is passionate about developing and empowering others and has successfully led teams from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
Richard Abram
Richard is a seasoned Design Engineer with three decades of expertise across diverse mechanical engineering fields, focusing on product development and innovation.
His extensive knowledge, excellent communication and negotiation abilities working with local and international suppliers, delivers superior quality outcomes within budget constraints whilst meeting strict timelines.

Richard Moss
Richard is known for innovative solutions and measurable results. A Chartered Engineer with over 30 years industry experience, Richard combines technical expertise with strategic insight. As a member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) and International Compliance Association (MICA), he brings deep technical knowledge to drive business excellence.
Richard is a Certified Operational Risk Manager and has specialised in Drug and Alcohol testing for over a decade. Richard excels in engineering, product management, strategy, compliance, and aligning technology with business goals.
Simon Ansell
Simon is a Quality & Service Manager with over 4 years in the Alcohol & Drug Testing Industry. He brings 15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Quality Management systems, holding certifications in Six Sigma, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485.

Dr Murdo Black
Chief scientist, leading research into innovative technologies and advanced testing solutions for Alcolizer Technology. With an impressive three-decade career in product development, he has made significant contributions to medical diagnostics at leading healthcare companies including Abbott, Roche, Siemens, and Beckman.
His academic credentials include a PhD in Toxicology, MSc in Instrumental Analysis, an MBA from Warwick University and over 20 patents in medical diagnostics and membrane technology. Murdo has successfully lead large R&D departments comprising 30-40 postdoctoral researchers and graduate scientists.
Dr. Meenakshi Verma
A highly skilled scientist with expertise in nanotechnology and diagnostics, Dr Verma specialises in developing lateral flow-based tests.
Her core strengths include nanoparticle development, molecular modeling, and sophisticated data analysis. Dr. Verma has led the optimisation of formulations, component selection, and data-driven threshold algorithms; ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

Steve Korkoneas
Specialising in Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing, with over 30 years experience Steve provides technical and analytical expertise and is Alcolizer Technology's in-house Toxicologist.
His key qualifications include Bachelor of Science (Monash) in Chemistry/ Pharmacology, Graduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry (RMIT), Grade IV Certificate in Forensic Science (Swinburne University), Certified Workplace Drug & Alcohol Collector, Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
Steve provides expert advice on drug testing, results interpretation, and policy drafting. He has offered expert testimony in various courts including the Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Australia, County Court, and Family Court of Australia.
Nick Fox
Nick’s professional background ensures complete confidence and assurance when dealing with alcohol and drug testing protocols to create safer workplace environments.
His remarkable career spans not only a decade with Alcolizer Technology but also encompasses roles as a sworn officer for the WA Police, Principal Prosecutions Officer for WA Government, along with credentials including a Bachelor of Law, Diploma of Public Safety, Cert IV in WHS, and Advanced Certificate in Business Management.
