Gary Johnson

Director

Gary Johnson founded Alcolizer Technology in 1988, developing Australia’s first standards-compliant wall-mounted breathalyser in response to emerging drink-driving legislation.

With a reputation for getting the job done - no matter the hurdles - Gary is known for his commitment to innovation, diversification, and service excellence. He began his career by establishing GJ Johnson & Co, an electrical contracting business in Fitzroy Crossing, laying the foundation for a group of companies that continue to grow under his leadership.

As the driving force behind Alcolizer Technology’s strategic vision, Gary works closely with the Executive Team to ensure the company delivers high-quality products and services that meet Australian & New Zealand Standards and support safer, workplaces.

With extensive leadership and sales experience, as well as manufacturing and supply chain, Nigel focuses on customer engagement, innovation and building high-performing teams to maintain position as a trusted industry leader.

Nige's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Chemical and Materials, along with postgraduate qualifications in Marketing and Packaging Technology.

With an impressive three-decade career in product development, he has made significant contributions to medical diagnostics at leading healthcare companies including Abbott, Roche, Siemens, and Beckman.

His academic credentials include a PhD in Toxicology, MSc in Instrumental Analysis, an MBA from Warwick University and over 20 patents in medical diagnostics and membrane technology. Murdo has successfully lead large R&D departments comprising 30-40 postdoctoral researchers and graduate scientists.

With over 30 years of experience, Steve is Alcolizer Technology’s in-house Toxicologist and a leading authority in onsite drug and alcohol testing. As the National OST Technical Specialist, he brings deep technical and analytical expertise to the forefront of workplace testing solutions.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Pharmacology from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from RMIT, and a Grade IV Certificate in Forensic Science from Swinburne University. He is also a Certified Workplace Drug & Alcohol Collector and holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Renowned for his expert advice on drug testing procedures, result interpretation, and policy development, Steve has provided authoritative testimony in various legal settings, including the Industrial Relations Commission, Fair Work Australia, the County Court, and the Family Court of Australia.

Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science & Exercise Health (UWA) and has worked as an exercise scientist conducting workplace fitness evaluations and rehabilitation programs. With his BSc degree and HLTPAT005 certification in drug specimen collection, Lachlan applies his educational background and hands-on expertise to provide comprehensive drug and alcohol testing services.
